What is ADHD coaching?

ADHD coaching is practical, goal-focused support. A coach works alongside you to understand the patterns in your day, find out what gets in your way and build strategies that fit the way your brain works, rather than asking you to simply "try harder".

Coaching looks at the present and the future. It is not therapy and it is not a medical treatment, but it can work really well alongside both.

Two ways to take part

One-to-one or in a small group

Both follow the same six-week STILL programme.

One-to-one coaching

£450 6 sessions

  • Six sessions of about an hour, just you and your coach
  • Usually done in six weeks, with up to 3 months if you need it
  • You book each session yourself, in Hull or online, after the one before
  • Everything tailored to your goals

Group coaching

£295 per person

  • Six 2½-hour sessions with up to 8 people
  • Fixed dates, in person in Hull or online
  • Learn alongside others who get it

Who is coaching for?

Coaching can help if you:

  • have an ADHD diagnosis and want practical ways to manage everyday life
  • are waiting for an assessment, or recognise ADHD traits in yourself
  • are taking ADHD medication and want skills and systems to go alongside it
  • struggle with starting tasks, time, overwhelm, big emotions or feeling "stuck"
  • want support at work, including a clear record of helpful adjustments

Working? Access to Work could pay for your coaching.

Young people

The STILL Method includes a version adapted for teenagers, focused on school, college and home. If you're booking for someone under 18, please contact us first so we can talk it through.

What coaching doesn't do

Coaches don't diagnose ADHD, give advice about medication, provide psychological therapy or manage risk. If you're struggling with persistent low mood, anxiety, trauma or thoughts of harming yourself, please speak to your GP or call NHS 111. We'll always help you find the right support.
